iRobot Combo i3
The iRobot Combo i3 has been updated from the original Roomba i3. It has a HEPA filter to remove allergens, and the same excellent external dust compartment, however it now supports smart mapping. This means you can create no-go zones to stop it from cleaning those areas in the future. The i3 Plus still has a variety of other fantastic features like its advanced cleaning system with 10x power-lifting suction and a three-stage process for cleaning. It also has a textured surface to protect against fingerprints, dust and hair of pets.
It cleans most debris and is a great choice for unfinished flooring, but did experience problems with pet hair when used on carpets with low pile. It is quieter and does a great job on carpets with high pile. The i3 is a little more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying station that empties the dirtbag, fills its water reservoir and cleans its mop pads.
You can design cleaning schedules using the i3 App. You can also control your robot with your voice assistant to start or stop cleaning. It can also track the unique layout of your home to provide personalized cleaning habits and scheduling. It uses advanced mapping sensors to guide you through hardwood and carpet floors, and learns how you clean to improve performance.

It can be controlled via voice commands using Alexa or Siri on devices that are compatible with Google Assistant. It can be programmed to begin and stop at certain dates.
iRobot Combo i4
This iRobot robotic mop and vacuum is ideal for those who want to keep their home clean without lifting a single finger. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can use voice commands to control it. It also has smart mapping technology that means you can set a schedule and the robot will do the work for you.
It comes with an docking station that has low profile and occupies only a tiny space. It also has a movable dirt compartment. However, you won't be able to view the inside of the compartment since it's made of transparent plastic. The i4 also lacks features such as the AI-powered obstacle avoidance and keep-out zones on the j7 or j7+.
It does, however, come with a powerful vacuum system and rubber brushes that do not get caught in pet hair. It's a great option for homes that have high-pile carpets since it is able to handle more dirt and debris than weaker vacuums. The i4 is also less invasive in terms of maintenance requirements, has lower recurring costs and runs longer in its weakest suction mode than the i7.
